Minibuses and dolmuş

The city's least-known network, at its clearest: lines district by district, the real route line and timetables.

Issue

The minibus network was always a black box

Istanbul's minibus and dolmuş lines are an important part of daily transport, yet where they go and when they leave is often known only to their riders. ekRota shows this network with the same clarity as every other mode.

Route drawn from traces

Start from a district

If you don't know the line code, browse by district: every line passing through your district is listed. If a line has several route variants, the row expands in place — no need to open a separate page.

Find it by name too

Instead of a line code you can type part of the route name — type "bakırköy" and all matching routes across different line codes are listed together.

Real route line

The route is drawn from the vehicles' real GPS trace; you see street by street where it goes on the map. Start and end points are marked separately.

Timetables

First/last departures and service intervals for weekdays and weekends. For some lines the source data publishes the same times for both day types; in that case both tabs look the same.

Add to favorites

You can favorite the minibus route you use every day; it stays at hand in "My favorites" at the top of the minibus page.
