Real walking route
Walking to the stop isn't a straight line as the crow flies: it follows real pavements and streets on the OpenStreetMap pedestrian network. When the real route can't be derived the line is shown dashed — the estimate isn't hidden.
Step-by-step live navigation
Start the journey; ekRota follows your walk to the stop, your wait, your progress on board and the moment you get off. Boarding is only confirmed when you actually reach the stop and move; a step isn't skipped just because a vehicle passed by.

Live vehicle tracking
On bus and metrobus lines the real position of vehicles is marked on the map and refreshed regularly. You can select a vehicle and have the map follow it.
Real timetables
Official timetables for metro, Marmaray, ferry and minibus; scheduled bus departures per stop. Filter by day type (weekdays, Saturday, Sunday) and the next departure is highlighted.
Service announcements
If there's an active disruption or diversion on the rail system it appears as a warning on the relevant line's screen and is marked in the line list.
Notifications
Optional push notifications for important service disruptions and announcements. Turning notifications off doesn't affect the rest of the app.

When you grant location permission, the stops around you are listed on the map; see which lines serve them in one tap.

Favorite the lines, stops and minibus routes you use often; keep them at hand on the home screen.

The difference between live data and timetables
The real position of vehicles is shown on bus and metrobus lines. On the metro, Marmaray and ferries vehicle-level live position data isn't public, so movement is calculated from the official timetable and the relevant screen says so clearly. We'd rather make this distinction visible than hide it.
